●Why did you want to study abroad in Japan? / なぜ日本に留学しようと思ったのですか。
To learn Japanese.
日本語を習得するためです。
●Why did you choose Tokushima University for your studying abroad? / 徳島大学を選んだ理由は何ですか。
I heard that TU is the best national university in Shikoku and cost of living in Shikoku is cheaper than other regions.
徳島大学は四国で一番の国立大学で、四国での生活費は他の地域よりも安いと聞きました。
●What subject have you been studying in your home university? / 自国では何を勉強していましたか。
Foreign Languages
外国語です。
●How did you prepare for studying in Japan? / 日本留学に向けてどのような準備をしましたか。
I went back to Taipei every weekend and met private Japanese teacher once a week.
毎週末台北へ戻り、一週間に一度、個人の日本語の先生に会っていました。
●How was your experience in Tokushima? For example, was there anything that surprised you? / 徳島に来てどうでしたか。例えば、驚いたことはありますか。
For the people who want to learn Japanese, I think it is a good choice to live in Tokushima. Because there are chances to speak in Japanese in Tokushima. It is said that the foreigners who live in Tokyo and Osaka don’t have to learn Japanese and their lives are still perfect.
日本語を学びたい人にとっては、日本語を話す機会がたくさんあるので徳島に住むのは良い選択だと思います。東京や大阪に住んでいる外国人は日本語を学ぶ必要がないと言われますが、彼らの生活もまた良いと思います。
●Have you used the Culture Lounge while you are in Tokushima University? How did you like using Culture Lounge? / 徳島大学ではカルチャー・ラウンジは利用しましたか。また、利用してどうでしたか。
Yes, I volunteer to teach Mandarin in Culture Lounge every Wednesday evening. Before I came to Japan, one of my jobs was teaching foreigners Mandarin. Due to that experience, my supervisor wanted me to assist the members of Panda club to learn Mandarin.
はい。毎週水曜日の夕方カルチャー・ラウンジで中国語を教えるボランティアをしました。日本に来る前、私の仕事の１つが（標準）中国語を教えることだったので、この経験から指導教員の先生から（標準）中国語を学んでいるパンダクラブ（サークル）のメンバーのお手伝いをしてほしいと言われました。
●How was your learning experience with courses at Tokushima University? / 徳島大学での勉強（受講）はどうでしたか。
We can choose our favorite courses and most of the teachers are very kind. However, I heard that there are few Chinese characters courses for international students. There is a big gap between basic level and intermediate level in Japanese, Japanese language teacher might help international students to cross the gap. Chinese characters are complicated, teacher might help international students to realize the radicals and strokes.
自分の好きなコースを選択でき、先生方のほとんどはとても親切でした。しかし、外国人学生にとって漢字（日本語）のコースはほとんどなかったようです。日本語での初級レベルと中級レベルとでは大きなギャップがあります。日本語コースの先生はこのギャップを乗り越えるために外国人学生を援助していただきたいです。また漢字は複雑なので先生方から語源や字画を認識させる手助けもいるかもしれません。
●Are there any big differences with student life in Tokushima and the country where your university is? / 学生生活について、日本と自国とでは大きな違いがありますか。
Yes. Each class is Taiwan is 100 minutes long and there is a break. In Japan, each class is 90 minutes and there is no break to go out for some fresh air.
はい、台湾は100分授業で休憩があります。日本では90分授業で、外出して気分転換するだけの休憩時間はありません。
●What experience gave you strongest impact during your stay in Japan or in Tokushima? / 日本（徳島）での生活で一番印象深いものは何ですか。
In this semester I found a lot of students focused on practicing Awa dancing.
今学期、たくさんの学生が阿波踊りの練習に力を入れていたことです。
●What is your goal in the future? / 将来の目標は何ですか。
To work in aviation and become a flight attendant.
航空業界で働き、客室乗務員になりたいです。
●Could you leave advice to students who want to study abroad from Tokushima or thinking of studying in Tokushima from your home school? / 留学を考えている学生に向けてアドバイスをお願いします。
If you just want to experience Japanese culture, I recommend you to live in Japan for half a year. However, for the people who want to improve Japanese , living in Japan for one year is better choice.
もし日本文化を経験したければ半年は日本に住むことをお勧めします。しかし、日本語を上達したい人は一年間は日本に住んだ方が良いと思います。
